Position Overview Crisis24 is hiring an embedded intelligence and disaster response analyst located in Singapore to join our Embedded Intelligence Services division. Under the Crisis24 Program Manager's general supervision, the Intelligence Analyst II performs global threat monitoring, intelligence analysis and production, investigative research, and disaster response support for a multinational technology company. The analyst joins an established eight-person "follow-the-sun" 24x7x365 team that spans four continents. This position requires occasional weekend coverage and shift flexibility, with typical hours operating between M-F 0700 - 1500. Experience volunteering or working in the disaster preparedness and response space is advantageous. Professional or personal experience in advancing organizational diversity, equity, and inclusion goals is also highly preferred. Responsibilities
Monitor for open-source information to identify threats and disasters (cyclones, security incidents, wildfires, shootings, earthquakes, civil unrest, etc.) that are likely to impact the client's operations
Analyze and assess risks to the business by leveraging sensitive data and proprietary technology to gauge client impact
Write and disseminate clear analytical assessments in a fast-paced environment with minimal oversight, and competing tasks and priorities
Utilize structured analytical techniques to deliver high-quality intelligence products
Collect and analyze data to deliver visualization products that provide clear impact and insight
Conduct detailed hyperlocal incident mapping in Google MyMaps or ArcGIS
Carry out extensive research during disaster events to assess impact scope, duration, demographics, and deployed nongovernment and government organizations
Deliver bespoke written deliverables educating client stakeholders on marginalized and vulnerable communities in disaster-prone areas
Provide administrative and operational support to the client to include participating in meetings, project tracking, and supporting partner outreach
Desired Skills And Experience
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
1 to 4 years of experience in intelligence production, research, journalism, disaster preparedness and response, crisis management, threat assessment, incident response or a related field required
Demonstrated experience writing clearly, technically, and concisely in a professional setting, preferably in a fast-paced environment
Ability to collect data and synthesize incomplete and contradictory information
Intimate understanding of deriving information from social media platforms and online tools to conduct research and analysis
Professional or personal experience in advancing organizational diversity, equity, and inclusion goals
Superb judgment and critical thinking
Global awareness and understanding with appreciation in how geopolitical, environmental, and security threats can adversely affect multinational organization
Ability to take initiative and identify self-improvement areas for own development and the team
Effective problem-solving and time-management skills
Working knowledge of Google Earth and Maps or alternative mapping software
Foreign travel and experience;
Work Location Singapore with a flexible option of remote and to work from Crisis24's Singapore office.
