The Position

The Corporate Security (CorpSec) organization advances the overall state of security for Twitter employees and work environments.

Reporting to the Threat Fusion Program Manager, you will be the subject matter expert who will drive complex, challenging and multidisciplinary efforts to collect, analyze, report on data specific to threats and vulnerability across Twitter's global risk architecture. You'll work closely with cross-functional global partners to lead data collection, analysis and modeling. You will help drive the continuous enhancement of Twitter’s defensive ecosystem by providing data that supports decision making and the development of a program using evidence based success metrics. You will be a part of an analytical team that focuses on threat actors, threatening actions and adversarial intent, motive and capability with a global focus. You will develop an analytics program which focuses on global threats while drawing on data, signals and Intelligence to enable the functions of a Virtual (v)Threat Fusion Center which acts as a ‘central node’ coordinating the capabilities of multiple security functions in Twitter.

To achieve this you must have strong analytical, communication, decision-making and project management skills.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide actionable data in support of threat discovery to include threat actor mapping and cross functional vulnerability mitigation

  • Provide analytical support to an ‘alternative analysis’ program that works with cross functional partners and Red Teams to assess Twitter’s defenses from an adversarial point of view while bringing creativity and unconventional thinking to challenge the intelligence teams in Twitter

  • Drive analytics in collaboration with program partners to gain insights in support of proactive adversarial defense

  • Lead detection efforts for the (v)Threat Fusion Center while identifying, collecting and structuring both data and signals in an actionable format.

  • Assemble data from multiple sources for deeper threat insights using advanced analytics

  • Build, maintain, and present dashboards and visualizations in support of key program milestones and metrics

  • Support an innovative program model; focusing on strategic milestones, key objectives, and team goals; while delivering a professional, multifaceted and effective threat analysis and vulnerability mitigation capability

Qualifications

  • A University degree in one of the following specialties; Data Science, Software Engineering, Security Studies, Strategic Studies, International Relations/Affairs

  • Proficient in Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) to include deep and dark web searches, aggregating data from public sources and scraping relevant data in support of intelligence production

  • Experience in supporting risk/threat based physical and/or cyber security operations

  • Analytically minded; A deep understanding of the intelligence cycle and how to draw actionable data while helping to operationalize this process to support business success

  • Possess advanced knowledge of security risks, vulnerabilities, and threats and how to leverage data in managing these with cross functional partners

  • Exhibit strong project management and organizational skills and the ability to prioritize, manage and document multiple projects simultaneously

  • Dedicated and creative mindset; possesses the ability to harness original concepts into successful solutions

  • Comfortable supporting high-risk escalations as part of a rotational on call roster with the (v)Threat Fusion Center team

  • Exceptional business awareness, communications & written skills and a collaborative managerial approach

  • Familiarity with how to search data management warehouses to extract meaningful information from multiple sources and types.

  • Willingness and ability to travel

  • Written and verbal fluency in English is a must

Nice to have:

  • Advanced degree in Quantitative Sciences, Political Science, International Relations/Affairs, or a related field

  • 5 years’ experience working in research and data analytics supporting security use cases.

  • Previous analytics experience in the technology/social media industry is a plus

  • Proficiency in Arabic and/or another widely spoken language internationally
